H.I.K.E. S.A.F.E.

We all love to get out and enjoy the immense wilderness that the pacific northwest has to offer.  Whether you’re a day-hiker, backpacker, tackling the Pacific Crest Trail or just out for a few hours of fun, there are certain things you can do to help garner your safety.  If you ever do need our services, following the H.I.K.E. S.A.F.E. philosophy will help us help you.  Better yet, following these simple steps will minimize the likelihood that you’ll need our services at all.

 

Have a plan
Inform someone of where you’re going and when you plan to return
Keep a flashlight and whistle with you
Eat well, stay hydrated: carry plenty of water

Stay on the trail
Ask for HELP!
Familiarize yourself with the area, use a map
Expect changes in the weather
