Today CCSO-SAR conducted its regular monthly training exercises. We conducted an evidence search utilizing line search techniques and ran an exercise in distance recognition and pace counting. Matters turned serious however, when the team responded to an impromptu stokes extraction of an "injured" teammate. Today, CCSO-SAR conducted its annual extended summer training at Camp Bonneville, WA.  The day’s itinerary included Washington State SAR core competency classes in map & compass navigation and wilderness survival skills.  Each core competency consisted of a classroom and field qualification.
