This month CCSO-SAR had its extended summer training event.  What makes these extended summer training's so special is our joint-training exercise with the US Coast Guard.  In addition  to the USCG, CCSO-SAR conducted patient packaging exercises and a mock search exercise. Search dogs are an important tool in SAR operations and their role and utilization is very different from the role "ground-pounders" like CCSO-SAR serve.
